Success from the inside out

Program 1 - What Do I Want?

To lay a strong foundation for finding a career or job that provides you with meaning and fulfillment, you must first determine where you personally look for meaning. You may already have some general ideas, but the more clarity and precision you have before beginning, the more effective and efficient your search will be.

Inner Research discovery guides will help you identify and prioritize your most compelling sources of meaning and fulfillment. Each guide approaches your personal experience of meaning through a different doorway and directs your exploration by activating memory, imagination or analytic burrowing. Not all the guides will speak to you equally, but persevere, if you can, as many “find gold” in the least expected exercises.

Clear the Decks

Clear your emotional channels of anger or frustration left over from a previous work situation. Learn from these experiences so they don't get repeated. (This guide may be skipped if it isn’t relevant to your situation.)

Meaning Quest

Take a guided tour to locate sources of personal meaning. Visit early memories and moments of resonance. Identify your most closely held values. Discover your personal and unique definition of success.

Personal Pillars

Strengths Inventory

Meaning is often found by tapping personal strengths and building on them. Two Discovery Guide exercises will assist you in identifying those skills and attributes you use most naturally and effectively.

Professional Mission

Identify your chief motivator: Articulate the core purpose or guiding principal that underlies and propels your work endeavors.

Putting It All Together: Your Career Vision
